Had a new hard drive and the OS installed today. When I click on Windows Explorer on the task bar, I want the explorer windows to open to a particular folder. I set the explorer shortcut target on the task bar as follows:

    C:\Windows\explorer.exe /e, "C:\DandG\Buttercup Farm"

The explorer window did open to the proper folder and the contents of that folder was displayed in the right pain of the window. But the left pane did not expand to "C:\DandG\Buttercup Farm" as I expected. To illustrate, there are 2 pictures attached. The "ActualView" is what was displayed but "DesiredView" is what I wanted. As you can see, in the ActualView, the left pane did to expand to the desired folder. How do I set the shortcut to produce the desired view?

Open Control Panel > Folder Options and check the box next to Automatically expand to current folder.
