I been trying to install windows 7 for 5 days with out it completing @ all the following is every thing I have tried.

I turned off all power saver functions in bios due to installing windows 7 on a 60gig ssd ozc agility(1.6 driver installed)

before I turned off the power saver it would fail out @ 32% of the unpacking of install files now it fails @ 42%(same disk) each time the error is file not found??

The install disk is windows 7 64 bit ISO(I have legit serials for it just not org install disk)

My current build is the following:

    Hi

My first thought is that the disk you are using is faulty, possibly due to the burn speed that was used. Most people don't realize that even though burners CAN burn DVDs at 8x, 16x, etc. burning data disks, especially installation disks, at high speeds is NEVER a good idea. If you can burn another disk, burn it at 1x, 2x maximum. Or obtain an undamaged legitimate Windows 7 64 bit disk (best option).

EDIT: If you obtained the disk by using a downloaded image from a source other than Microsoft, it's also highly possible that the data has been tampered with. In that case, it violates the Microsoft End User License Agreement, and also could be the reason the disk isn't working.

Well seams in no way the disk or iso not working. As the ssd is the only hhd the windows 7 will not install on.

the error code pop's up as 0x80070002

Which i looked it up on M$ web site and ran the Fix it and still didn't work at all.

Another simpem is after I diconcet the ssd and reconect it mother board detects it then, but and is usable with no issue untill I attempt to install windows 7 on it and that error code pop's up then the ssd is undetectable at all by motherboard, but is detectable by windows 7 installer if you select repair only other wize it wont even see the drive listed to even install on..

    Any idea's??

(I have tried different sata cables and power supply hook up's and different sata connectors on mother board, only strang thing,, I have the sata cables that make a click nice when attaching hdd but with he sdd it don't click @ all seams there 1 to 2 sec to long when pushed into place)

Hmm, have you checked your RAM yet? This will rule it out or in and then we move on.

This thread seems to indicate a bad SSD. Although that was never verified. But since the motherboard doesn't want to recognize the drive it could indeed be the drive.

Do you have a utility to test the SSD from OCZ?

I'm running out of idea's I submitted tickets to both msi and ocz.

Some one mentioned it may be ioh temp to high and another said it may be an ata option in bios to set to fix this issue.. But so far I cant figure out where to look in bios don't see it in options any where,, and no clue how to check ioh temps

I don't think so unless you're OC'ing. Run OCCT to see if your temps are actually high, this gives you some real time charts until the machine shuts down, if it is heat related and/or beating the CPU/GPU into submission!.

BTW, does MSI have a forum? I found my eVGA forum invaluable, especially for weird temps for my my vregs.

No high temps at all (for the airflow I got going), It was just info a budie though @ me

MSI yes they have forums and realty has not been help full so far @ all and their tech suport said their is no issue's ever been reported witht hat type and make so they point it @ ozc error. OCZ are little slow since I responded to there latest reply I sent to them stating their idea didn't work, they suggested to disable fast boot stating that it some times doesn't load right.. and failed as normal..

Thanks for letting us know the resolution. I'd be interested to know if you have no problems installing Win7 when you get the new drive.

Will do m8 their rma info request is weard though they request the following
DRAM voltage as tested- I take this is memory voltage right?

That is over my head. I'd just leave that entry blank. It is probably a generic RMA form that they use for memory modules as well.

I'd just mark the spot or leave a comment for "OCZ tech support determined it was bad". They already told you to send it in so they are going to send you a replacement whether you skip an entry or not. As long as you have the model/serial number and receipt the rest is up to them.
