I am not normally this inept, but I am at a loss here. Normally I plug things in and they work pretty good. The old network was running on Windows XP Pro. I'm replacing all of the machines at my office and trying to get the network set up with limited success.

They are all running Windows 7 32-bit Professional (except 1 is still a Vista Business Machine). The Windows 7 machines are all set on the same homegroup (this seemed easier to shar the printers).

I am trying to share a drive/folder over the network. When I go to add it with the map network drive option, it says I do not have permission. When I set up the sharing on the main machine, it says I am giving full control to others.

I'm at a loss as to what to do at this point.

    Any help/ideas?

It turns out all that required was cursing at the machine for a good 10 minutes and crying for another 5 and threatening to throw it out the window if it did not work after a reboot. Everything seemed to fix itself after that.

    Glad you got things working.
Keep it all Win 7 and you will have few problems, just give it time to sort things out. Reboots, sleep, hibernation and older OS's are not treated kindly by Win7.
