Win7 Home Premium X64 - I'm working on a laptop here that was getting numerous "Ordinal not found" errors (see first 2 screen shots below). I was able to clean these up via the utilities in MSDaRT (Microsoft Diagnostic and Recovery Toolkit). I installed and ran MalwareBytes and only some minor adware was found (MyWeb, Hotbar). I ran TDSSkiller to insure that no evil was living on the boot sector, all was well. The laptop had no protection (only an expired trial of Norton), so I went to install Avira's free AntiVir, and I then got the errors shown in the 3rd screen shot below.... I can't seem to find anything that explains how to fix these "ordinal not found" errors, esp. when the file mfc90u.dll from the 3rd screen shot is thrown in to the mix.

    Any information will be appreciated!

Some deeper digging revealed that the error associated with the mfc90u.dll file is linked to C++, so I installed the latest redistributables and runtimes and it made no difference.

A bit of creative Googling got me to this blurb at the Avira Business Forums saying to install the X86 version of the 2008 C+ redist. I had installed the X64 versions 'cuz I'm running a 64bit Win7. Installing the X86 (32bit) version from this link fixed the problem with the "ordinal 6929 could not be located in the dynamic link library mfc90u.dll". Phew.... problem solved!

    :dancer :dood :celebrate

(BTW - the C+ 2008 32bit redistributable download link posted in the Avira Forum will be the German language version; I provided a link to the English language version to avoid confusion ;) )

After I got my first x64 system last week, I found a similar thing with Java RTE. I thought I only needed the 64-bit version, but I also needed to install the 32-bit version in order to get things to work on a 32-bit browser like Firefox.
