    I think the article itself is a bit tongue in cheek because they have had their new flagship attacked but i find some of the replies a bit more direct.

    Ya, 1GB RAM is enough as that's what I'm running with an X2 3800+, might be a tad slow with a single core.

    Beta yes today but from 1st July if memory serves it will have been shutting down every 2hrs so most moved to the RC, which expires on June 1st 2010

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/download.aspx but be warned it should still be classed as a beta, while its stable for many there is the chance on some systems it will not be, also check you have all drivers etc,

    If you have issues with installing or running Windows 7 post in the Software forum

    Technically June 1st, 2010 is correct but it will be doing the 2 hour shutdown dance starting March 1st. which basically renders it useless for continued use.
