I have an OEM edition of Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. Does anyone know if I can use the same activation code but with the 64-bit version of the operating system?

Yes, my computer can handle it. I had purchased the 32-bit a year ago and now have a new laptop that is 64-bit.

If its like other version of windows i do not believe you can use a 32 bit code with a 64 bit version.

I know if you purchase a copy of Windows 7 from a retailer, it comes with a 64-bit DVD and a 32-bit DVD, and only 1 product key. With that being the case, I see no reason why it wouldn't work. You can only use the License once, regardless of if its 64-bit or 32-bit.

Thank you! I'll try it in a few days when I have time to do all the restore...if it fails. Don't have that luxury right now.
