    Hello.

Today I have a problem with an application running on windows 7, using Windows XP SP2.

The operating system I use is Windows 7 64-bit. The original application was running on a Windows XP Service Pack 2 operating system. When I run the application using Service Pack 2, it loads up after about 2-3 minutes after clicking on it.

When I click a button though, it just freezes up and doesn't respond. Sometimes it doesn't even say "Not Responding" unless I proceed to task manager to close it.

Is there anyone out there that can fix this problem?

    Thank you.

    Merry Christmas to you, too.

The application is just a simple custom made application for a shuttle service, to take reservations an such (not even a megabyte big).

Compatibility mode is what I am using. I'm running on a Windows 7 computer and using Windows XP Service Pack 2 to run the application.

I would not be able to use Windows XP Mode because I am on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit system.

Do you mean you have two OS one win 7 another with win xp in the same machine or two machines with win 7 in one and win xp to another ? :confused

If the application was strictly written for NT2k/WinXP (regardless of the Service Pack), yes you can have problems when trying run the application in compatibility mode on Windows 7. If it is just a simple reservation system software, either find the original writer of the software and have them fix the software for your organization, or you may end up having to going and using something like a Access Database running on a SQL server.

One of the following in this search http://us.yhs4.search.yahoo.com/yhs...t&hsimp=yhs-att_001&type=att_lego_portal_home does not happen to be the company who wrote the software, are they? If not, and it was a custom wrote piece of software, and the programmer cannot be found, guess it is time to review one of those companies I linked and find the best that works for you.

Thanks, actually I know the person personally who made the application. Guess I will get him to make a Windows 7 one. And no, the person was not in that search.
