Windows 7 trial (SP1 Included) 32bit

    I have the HP recovery DVD (1in3) w/ windows 7, 64bit, and I have a licence
(Microsoft product key) on the backside of the notebook.

Now the HP RD is good for a last way solution only, I say this because it
doesn't have the feature to install windows upon another windows, without
deleting personal documents, it simply wipes the hole hard drive.

So if you want to keep your stuff, you'll need to mark the "make a backup
before recovering" option, not to mention that your Linux dual boot OS will
    be kicked too.

It also takes up a whole lot of space with some useless stuff like HP-Tools,
(I say this ignorantly having only basic knowledge about OS's)

So here are my main questions:

    Q1)
All in all, wouldn't it be better (and a whole lot faster to install) with a clean windows 7 disk?

    Q2)
If I download a windows 7, say 32bit.iso (60day trial version) or whatever,
(which I'm doing right now, not torrent BTW), am I then able to fully
activate it with my already purchased product key?

    Q3)
Is there a way to sort of extract the windows(but only the windows,
without all the fancy stuff) from the one that I already have installed,
maybe even copy/paste (clone) the files that I would need, from the
Recovery DVD, into a new exclusive windows 7 DVD?

    Thanks,

    :)

    1. Maybe, maybe not. If Windows 7 doesn't include the chipset drivers then all hardware doesn't work which means you spend time trying to troubleshoot hardware and locate and install the proper drivers.
    2. Depends if your computer had a 32 bit, non-OEM version installed.

It says "Windows 7 prem OA LATAM" on the windows license sticker HP Company.

I had to search for what the OA meant.

In plain English, what exactly does that mean, is it good or bad?
You see I actually did a couple of factory resets using the HP Recovery Disks, does that mean that I am
    running out of luck?

I tried to search myself, but I didn't find anything, only that LAT-AM means Latin America!

What should be my next move?

    Thanks,

    :)

Use the recovery disks that came with the computer. It has all the drivers and your key works with that.

If you download an ISO fromn the internet, your key will not work with that.

For Q2 and Q3 the answer is no. For Q1, if you can beg, borrow or steal a MS Win 7 installation disk of the same flavour as yours (Home Premium?), then the key on the underside of your comp should work.
