Windows 7 Unofficial Service Packs

Window 7 service pack 2 (marie-systems on github,still wip)
Windows 7 Service pack 3 (from teknixstuff website updatepack7r2)
Windows 7 Unofficial Service Pack 3 ( also from teknixstuff but on github, released this Aug 13, 2024)

I dont have Win7 anymore,I havent tested these,but curious if anyone has heard,used,tested or even still using?

 

A few years ago I used/installed the "Simplix UpdatePack". Back then it was said to have removed most if not all the telemetry/MS Spying stuff this included only specific updates, removed all the Win 10 "upgrade" {really a Downgrade} crap (the Win 10 nag screens and forced install which bricked several computers) and some other privacy pluses.

Fast Forward to now, I don't know IF they still do all of this because I no longer see it listed/mentioned anywhere (Though I could have missed it).

This said, I had no issues installing it.

Below is a link for the full version, but on that page it also has a link to a smaller "downloader" version. All depends on what your storage space situation is. Way back when I downloaded full version to an external drive so I always had it and could install/reinstall anytime without internet. Just that you will need at least 900 Meg free of storage.

Yah i know that one,packs every update released by microsoft in and makes it easy to get your system up and running after a fresh install. The other one to block “upgrade to win10” notifications and such. these are extra and not from microsoft. Like vista unofficial and xp unofficial packages from community.

 

It is/was my understanding that the Simplix UpdatePack also added in the Server Security Patches that the teknixstuff website updatepack7r2 does.

A few years ago there was also a security company that offered both free and paid security patches for Win 7 that weren't from MS to extend Win 7 service. Sorry I don't remember their name or IF they still do this or IF they are still in business.

The Simplix website forum is well over 200 pages of info, various updates, questions (though some post you need to be registered and logged in to see/read) and KB additions, have you looked them over?

 

I did. 0patch is more comprehensive.
Dont forget the get .net framework runtime 4.8.1 and windows management framework 5.1
