Windows 7 Update problem

Hi everyone.. been a while since I have posted here...

I need some help with a computer I have been working on with a co worker of mine. Was thinking if there may be someone somewhere that may have had the same issues and can help.. or if anyone else has an idea.

The laptop in question has an issue finding updates.. It will search for update and say the computer is up to date but we know it is not. It still has internet explorer 8.. and it doesn't have SP1 installed and it is missing a few critical updates. We have tried everything, we used Microsoft fixit, system restore... I tried using Tweaking.com all in one repair. I found a possible issue with intel graphics that may have prevented it, but we uninstalled the driver and we still get the same issue.. we are going to try to update IE manually... so we will see if that does anything. If anyone has any suggestion, it would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks!!!


P.S. we also ran multiple virus/malware/spyware scans including combofix, so we are pretty sure it isn't infected.

 

Sorry, Disregard thread please... a Hotfix has fixed this issue.
