    System:
    ASUS Notebook K52F
    Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64 bit

When logging off or shutting down, sometimes there appears the message "Waiting for background programs to close". What is interesting is that most of the time this list is empty. Is there a setting that I can change that can expose what Windows 7 is waiting for?

My husband gets this on his Acer with an AMD chip. I do not on my Acer with an Intel chip. We are both running a 64bit version of Win 7 Home Premium.
I suspect it has something to do with video.
Does your ASUS have an AMD or an Intel chip?

My ASUS laptop has an Intel chip. Something to do with video? Mmmm, that's an interesting thought. Wonder what I can do about that.....
