Windows 7 will not boot after Windows Defender

    Help:(

    After using tdsskiller and mssstool64I tried Windows Defender and since then Windows 7 will not boot. Have tried start up repair,system restore and recovery and nothing worked. I stumbled on this forum and have run frst64 and have attached the file. I hope you can help me

    Sorry - I forgot to include in my original post that Alureon was removed when I used the above.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    Download this >> View attachment fixlist.txt


    Save fixlist.txt to your flash drive.
    • You should now have both fixlist.txt and FRST.exe on your flash drive.
    Now reboot back into the System Recovery Options as you did previously.
    Run FRST and press the Fix button just once and wait.
    The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt).
    Please attach this to your next message. (See how to attach)

    Now see if you can boot into normal Windows.

    Thank you, Thank you!!!! Computer booted! File attached. I am backing up everything that I had neglected before that had me in a panic and I am finally relaxing after dealing with this for a week.

    I still notice computer is slower and Firefox often sends me to a different website then what I request --that is what led me to search for malware. Any suggestions? Do you recommend a different malware scan or changing browser (It seems problems started with Firefox upgrade). I hate to cause anymore problems.
