My father is having an issue with his internet connectivity at his place. Hes's using Win7 on a Wired connection. The wifi works fine, but the desktop does not. When opening IE it says unable to display webpage. Clicking other site tabs doesn't work, and switching to Chrome doesn't open Chrome

    Please Help if possible.

Since wireless is working first guess would be Ethernet adapter, networking controller. Check device manager in control panel under the Network adapters section to see if it is working properly. Try changing out the RJ45/Ethernet cable too. That has helped me a few times. Might want to check under network sharing center also. Click change adapter settings then righ click the local area connection and choose properties to see what it is set up to do.
