Just a little bit about my problem...I have a emachine that is a couple years old it runs windows 7. I was using it just fine yesterday with no problems. It froze up on me and wouldn't do anything at all. I tried to restart it...nothing happened. I eventually just turned the power off then right back on (I know that is not good to do) but at that point I didn't see any other option...anyhow it won't boot back up at all. It goes to a black screen with the big e (emachines) at the bottom of that is says "press del to enter setup...or F12 boot menu." If I hit F12 it takes me to a black screen that says: reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key. If I hit "del to enter set up" it takes me to a blue screen that says CMOS Setup Utility (then under that there are other options to go to..product information...Standard CMOS Features...Advanced BIOS Features and several other options. I have no clue as to what to do from there. I do have cd's that I made when I first got the computer.. (one is labeled windows 7-64 bit...there is 3 different ones labeled Recovery 1, 2 and 3 .. one is labled Repair disk and one is lableled App Dvr 1) I have tried to put these in and when the recovery options come up it says windows cannot automatically repair this computer. There is other options for me to load and select drivers but like I said before I have no computer knowledge at all.
If anyone could help me I sure would apprieciate it...All my pictures are on my computer of my baby (dog) that just passed away Sept 12 of this year and it devastates me to think I may never get them back. I don't care about anything else on the computer just my pictures.
    Thank you

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply...first off let me tell you I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to trying to fix a computer so please bare with me. I'm not sure if I have the installiation disk you had mentioned or not. When I first got the computer I had to make several cd's and was told how to label them...One is labeled Windows 7-64bit...there is three different cd's labeled recovery 1...recovery 2 and recovery 3...I have a cd labeled App Dvr1 and also a system repair disk. I can get to the system recovery options using the repair disk...from there it tells me it can't be automatically repaired. Do you know if one of these cd's I have is the installiation disk you had mentioned?
I sure don't mean to be so much trouble I just don't know what I am doing and I am scared to death I am gonna lose my pictures.
Thank you so much for any help you can offer me
    Jennifer
