Windows 7

Just added a new Windows 7 laptop to my home network, making a total of 3 computers (XP, VISTA, Windows 7). The wireless network is operating properly, except for the following.

I'm trying to import email messages into Windows Live Mail on my new laptop running Windows 7, from Windows Mail located on another computer on the network. Within Windows Live Mail, when I 'Browse' to locate the Windows Mail folder on one of my networked computeres, my other computers aren't shown under Networks.

However, when not working within Windows Live Mail on my newly added laptop, all my network computers and printers are accessible. Within Windows Live Mail (File, Import, Browse) on my new laptop running Windows 7, the only computer listed under networks is the new laptop itself.

Also.... what's the difference between Windows Live Mail in a Windows 7 system and a VISTA system??? On a VISTA system it's a website, On a Windows 7 system it's an email software program. I'm confused. In any event.... I'm looking to copy all my email messages from Windows Mail on a VISTA system to Windows Live Mail on a Windows 7 computer.

Have you exported messages from Windows Mail? I would export and then copy that file to the other computer via Windows Explorer. Then, import that file (containing Windows Mail messages) into WLM on the new laptop?

I don't know, I've never installed WLM on my Vista system. I would guess it surely can be configured to work the same in Win Vista as it does in Win 7. Did you download and install WLM on your Vista computer?
