    Hi

Yes Windows 7 will need more space than that of a vanilla install of XP, what space do you have on your main C: drive? Need around 18GB ish, for a install of Windows 7 x64 and all current updates, as a rule of thumb.

Is your PC compatible with Windows 7? do you know if your hardware has Windows 7 drivers available if your are using 32bit or 64bit version it makes a difference.

Do run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor HERE first to check out your PC and see what issues you may face.

Other drives if you have multiple should not be affected but when installing Windows 7 do make sure you format or choose the correct drive first, and if the other drives are standalone drives and not partitions of the main C: drive then unplug them to be safe until the install is over.
