Toshiba Laptop. I was running Windows 8. My account was a local account called "Mom."

When I upgraded to 8.1, the process told me I needed a Live Account to go farther. (I have since discovered there are methods to get around that but I'm past that now.) So I entered the name "NoWay Jose" into the name fields, and created/plugged in a garbage Outlook.com email address.

I wandered around the internet and found out how to NOT require a password to login.

However, the account settings and such that I had in the Mom account are now tied to the NoWay Jose name. Is there a way to turn that account into a local account and change the name back to "Mom?"

    :cry
