Windows 8 sharing settings

Im currently sharing all my tv episodes on my pc to access over network via SMB which works fine however when a new episode is downloaded and added to the folder for some reason its not shared along with the rest of the folder. To rectify this I have been unsharing-resharing the entire folder every time i get a new episode. Never had this issue with win7 only seems to have appeared with windows 8. Is there something I can do or some reason it's happening?? It's rather frustrating..
