Windows 95 Floppy version tells me it already been installed?? how does it know

I was installing a windows95 floopy version 400 950 and during the instalation it told me it already been installed altough the floppy was closed, and then it inputted another name other then mine and woudln't allow me to change it so I would like to know what can I do to make windows95 not think it was ever installed?

 

The trick is to do a clean install so format your harddisk first you knows format c: then use your first disk enter setup.exe i think.....

Because when you uninstall windows with out formatting they are always foot print left in you harddsik or files that it's telling windows it's has been install on that harddisk.

 

I don't think so because I formatted the HD and deleted the partitions too. What else can it be? I remember I once had an antivirus floppy that know how many times it was installed and how many there were left.

 

What the heck are doing with Win 95 anyway??? Windows Vista is due to be released soon and the price is dropping on all the Win98 and XP stuff. maybe you should think about updating your softwear since the version you have now is over 10 years old and no longer even supported by microsft.

@IRQIO, you must not have formatted or deleted all partitions properly. That's the only way it can know there was a previous installation.
