Windows 98 Background Tab

Security IGuard poped up on my Windows 98 computer. I did add and remove programs and removed it and then went to msconfig and unchecked the box. The problem is that I know have a warning in the middle of my screen which I think is a picture. When I go to the background tab so I can reset the background picture the tab is missing. Any ideas

Go to program files and delete the Security IGuard folder
if it won't delete (error message appears) make sure that its not running in your taskbar.
go to Run type regedit and follow the path to these files
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

right click and delete any instances of any Security IGuard files (if your not sure google each file to see what it belongs too)

run crapcleaner and clear the junk

reboot

 

After I do the things you mentioned do you think my background tab will reappear.
