After seeing XP, i can barely go back to 98SE. It's got no style. Is there anything I can do to make it look more stylish or XP like? If there isnt a program, some1 should make one! Thanks for the help!

Nevermind, I took some incentive and checked out the downloads here on the site. THIS SITE ROCKS.
None of them seem to effect the taskbar. Can anyone reccomend a program that makes the taskbar that green and blue style?

I think you're the first person to make this comment. The first thing I do when I'm on Windows XP is make it look like Win2k. Luna was not an interface improvement!

I have looked at the WinXP interface and I don't like it, the icons, the way it looks, how everything is huge, I agree with da chicken I didn't like it at all, Win2k does look much better in my opinion...

I have two computers, one with XP and the other with Win98. I changed XP to classic style because I don't care for the XP look and it uses more resources. The classic style and Win98 look very similar to me.

Can someone post a pic of Win2K? I have no idea what it looks like.

HUMMM. Same here. Two XP computers, both set to classic view. And I thought I was really weird for liking it that way. I feel better now. Thanks. :D

Win2k is almost indistiguishable from Win9x.

I heard it was so it looked like Mac OS X's Aqua.

It looks like what you're trying to get it not to look like.

I, too, killed all of the XP eye candy as soon as I saw it when XP came out and I got it. The easy greys, blues, and whites, and the rectangular shapes of 2k are just fine with me, and those awful XP Start Menu and Explorer-window displays are just plain tiresome

And, as someone mentioned above, the eye candy gobbles resources like a hungry dog at a late supper.

Gimme plain, gimme lightning fast, gimme rock-solid. That's my XP.

Yep, the same day I did my last install of XP, the first change I did was:
System Properties>Advanced>Performance Settings> (visual effects)>adjust for best performance.
And I think the computer looks cooler that way.
But, there was a thread here about desktops, and being new I'll have to experiment with that. But surely the looks one can download from MG have to blow the Windows eye candy away!

98 is also about as stable as a Middle Eastern govenment.
