Windows 98: Need Photo Recovery Software

Have you finished laughing? A while back, I accidentally deleted all the precious photos from my old desktop computer. I was trying to move them to an external drive so I could junk the computer, but I deleted the files before discovering that they didn’t transfer. I’ve been trying to find recovery software that works with Windows 98. (To my surprise, this Compaq runs perfectly.)

Does anyone know of any such software?

Back in the day I used to use software called Get Data Back and if you get in touch with Runtime Software they might help you out with a legacy copy. Get Data Back was very good because if things were even double deleted (deleted then formatted) it could still recover about 9o% of the data although it can be quite slow ie overnight.

If this fails send me a pm and I will have a look at my historical backups. I know I have a Full Pro version for Win XP and I think I also have a Pro copy for Win 95/Win 98 burnt onto to a backup CD but this will take a lot of searching through my archives. In the late 90s this software came with bundled free software on a CD stuck to the cover of several computer magazines and you could use it for free several times before you had to pay for the Pro version.
