After I installed a new video card, my computer from time to time will start with the message that it has detected an error in the system registry and will restart to fix the problem. Then it restores a registry version from before the graphics card was installed. I am forced to reinstall the card and mess around with my network card to get that working again from some reason. I have no idea what is going on and have tried a number of registry programs but nothing solves this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This could be caused by remnants of the drivers from your previous video card. There are some driver cleaner tools here:

After you get them cleaned out install the latest ones for your card as endi suggested.
