    Hi all:

I'm one of those basically pc illiterates and I would really appreciate your help.

I downloaded spybot and that's when the trouble started, so I then removed it but in that process, when it told me there were important registry changes and asked me to reverse them.....I mistakenly clicked: "no".

After that, my pc will not shut down. I downloaded registry fix and that didn't fix it. I've run my avast virus scan and it identified Win32:Kuang2, which I understand is not a virus but simply a signature that is the same in another program?? I might not have that right.

I tried closing each program before trying to shut down but that doesn't work. I ran registry checker and system file checker and tried to figure out what's going on but I'm just too dense.

I really could use your help.

    Thanks,

    Trixy

I don't know what Kuang32 is, but as far as the registry issues I would reinstall spybot and then uninstall it again. If it asks the same questions about the registry changes, click yes this time. Don't know if that helps, but it's a start.

    Thankyou Laskid.

I've thought of that and hesitated to try it thinking I might make things worse.

Are you sure that I won't make things worse by reinstalling spybot?

    Thanks, Trixy
