Hi everybody, After trying to remove a virus without successs I decided to run the HP recovery on my computer. The problem I have is my windows account is no showing when i start my computer and I cant go to my files because in Documents and settings my account is not showing anymore.

I know All my files are still there somehere in my computer because the space on my C drive is the same.

Is there a way windows can show my account again so I can get my files back
:confused Really I am not sure if this is happening because of the virus or the HP recovery

    Thank you for your help

    Hello,
If you run a recovery on your computer, then it restores the OS to it's factory state. therefore, it would remove your user account. The best way for you to get your documents back is to use file recovery software, which could be very expensive.
