Windows backup problem

i have created my system backup only C drive using Hirens boot CD, image creation was successful and i also restored the image successfully, only problem is with burning, the file size is 4.6 GB so i tried to compress it with winrar and also winzip but it doesnt get zipped and again i created an other fresh image this time i uninstalled some programs to reduce the image size to a limit of a DVD and it reduced to 4.3 GB but burning error gets in the way, the burning process was successfull with some errors it says when i tried to restore the image burned in DVD it says the file is not a image file, very strange the image which i restored earlier was successful and the same image burned in DVD was not, so anybody plz could help how could i burn the image in DVD so that i could save 4 GB of Data in my disk. Please anybody help me iam very annoyed with the problem from last couple of months

 

First off your using 'warez'. Hiren's is a CD full of Pay-for-Play software.
Second you never said which program you used, I think there are several.
If you bought the software say, Ghost, you could read the manual and find out how to split the image during creation to avid these issues.
