windows calendar

Hello,

Recently the windows calendar reminder (snooze feature) is not working properly and I haven't been able to find a resolution to the problem (at least not yet). I did find something that suggested going to task manager but that suddenly gave me a bunch of errors all starting with "the task image is corrupt of has been tampered with" followed but different items such as .(F83C6617-DF84-4EDE-B614-7DD50802146B) and the last one is .GatherWirelessInfo

Anyway, I was wondering if there is another calender program that works like the windows calendar does (running windows vista home premium). I would prefer that it does not sit in the system icons part of the desktop if possible. What I would like is to have it work like the windows calendar does and appears when there is something scheduled for that day (or next day) and otherwise I don't see it (if there is anything like that).
