Windows Desktop Search - I want out!

    I am using Windows XP professional service pack 2 and some months ago thought I would try a freebee 'Windows Desktop Search'.
    I isn't for me so I tried to un-install it. It does not appear on the Windows uninstall program list. It does appear under 'Start' 'Programs'. I am not sure which version of this program I have but in an on-line help forum it was suggested I use 'Spuninst.exe'. This did nothing but say it could not find UPDSPAPI.dll.
    Any (useful) suggestions?????????????confused
