Hello, this is my first post but I usually run here for advice & help fixing my moms computer using the search. But now i'm in a bad situation and cant find any topics related to it.

Two days ago I tried out this tip from eggxprt forums http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/638675.aspx (set up a new folder on my desktop) and it immediately caused this error

like the other posts somewhat related, I get the Check online/Restart the program, it happens in a constant loop either option I chose. I tried to use f8 on restart & restore from a previous day before I did this but I still get the error.

Im running windows vista 64bit, any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    Maybe you could try:

F8 and selecting Safe Mode. Then going to Computer>C:>Users>YourUserName>Desktop and then deleting the GodMode folder.

Restart and see if explorer still stops working.

This didn't work. When I tried to load in safe mode the screen just kept flashing and acting like it was loading something, so I couldn't click on anything.

However when I restarted again and went to regular boot, the "God Mode" folder showed up on my desktop. I went to delete it but before I could the error started happening again.

So I followed the same steps and when I went into safe mode I saw the folder again after 1 minute of flashing. Flashing stopped and I was able to delete it. Problem solved.

    Thxs for the response

I'm glad you got it fixed.

If it is any consolation the God Mode folder basically just contains all the various parts of Control Panel organized in a large list. Really nothing in there all that secret.
