Windows Explorer runs on boot

Toshiba Satellite, Vista Home Premiun, SP2, 64 bit.

Just cleaned and updated this laptop. All is running exceptionally well, now. Using Winpatrol, only 5 programs in start-up, showing, 2 Winpatrols, SAS, Userinit., and Explorer.exe. All pretty normal. Nothing in delayed starts.

Norton anti-virus, security center all green.

But on Boot, it opens two Windows explorer processes, after initially showing the desktop, boots in under a minute.

One is <<SQ0047909V01 (C): > USERS>MUH>APPDATA>ROAMING>MICROSOFT>WINDOWS>START MENU>PROGRAMS>STARTUP>DISABLED

Close that and the other is >COMPUTER>SQ0047909V01>(C): >PROGRAM DATA>MICROSOFT>WINDOWS>START MENU>PROGRAMS>STARTUP>DISABLED

Any ideas? I find some results for XP, but not for Vista.

 

An update. I performed a sfc /scannow, after completion, it said some files were corrupt but couldn't be fixed.

I then said the log of the scan could be found at c:\windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log.

When I go to open that file, I get Access Denied. :major

This whole scan thing, I don't know. I know also on other computers I have run this on, I always get this access denied message!

What gives, and is it any good anyway?

Ignore that. Copied it to desktop, 47M log file, too large to be of any use, would take a month to read it.

But, problem solved by deleting the folders it was opening to.

Apparently some minor corruption from some malware removal last Friday.

I'm sure somebody would have eventually suggested that I try this anyway, but it now boots completely normally to the desktop.

All is well and life is good again.
