Whenever I start my computer, it logs into Windows, but then when it gets to the desktop i get the error mssage saying that windows explorer has encountered an error and will close. So then there's just the blank dsektop with no icons or any way to run a program (safe mose does not work, it just stays on a black screen with a list of all the programs that are supposedly running, but never even makes it to windows startup screen). I am almost completely sure that this is due to the manymanymany spyware programs that are constantly on my computer due to a mass firewall breakdown when i was on a network in college dorms (i know, big mistake...) I once spent about eight hours manually removing all spyware and it worked, but after a couple of months my mother did something (who knows what) that caused a lot of things to come back, and spyware doctor and mcafee are ineffective. So, HOW in the world do I run spyware programs when I can't download/run/open anything, and if someone can tell me how to do this, what programs are the absolute best?

    Found Virus, Now What?

Since my last post, I found the issue.
Windows Explorer has a virus, and it won't open when my computer boots. I get an error message when windows tries to log on. I ran a program which blocked the application and specified that it has a virus that starts with w32. usually after my software blocks something i check it and click delete, but of course i can't delete explorer. how do i fix this?
