Windows Installer problem! the volume for a file has been externally altered

    I tried to download a new version of Itunes and it told me Windows Installer was not working so i tried to re-dowload windows installer and it keeps having an extraction error that says "the volume for a file has been externally altered so that the opened file is no longer valid" what do i do???
