Windows Installer?

Windows installer window opens up on everything I use and has seemingly taken over my Outlook program?

 

Have you recently tried to install a program (any one) and it did not complete the installation? If so you would need to use the Windows Installation Clean-Up utility which you can download from here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

If this isn't the case (and you could try it anyway just to be sure), then can you give us more details and also what OS you are using on the machine.

 

No I`am running XP and have been trying to download the latest updates requests from microsoft but if never fully completes?

 

Please run the Clean-Up utility, then reboot, then retry downloads. Let us know how that goes.

 

Which utility. the micrsoft one sounds so damaging and threatening and I have been running CC cleaner to no luck

 

The Windows Installation Clean-Up utility download link in the Summary section. I had cause to run it myself recently after my Installation Manager screwed up. Very similar problem to yours. It worked great.
