I am having problems installing Windows programs, because my Windows Installer is not functioning. I cannot see it to uninstall it and to install a newer version. I dont even know what version I have. I think there might be a problem with how it is registered in my registry. I am not very knowledgable in this area. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Thank you for that link, but it does not help me since I am not extremely computer literate. I try to download upgrades, but it always says that is not my sytem. I cannot uninstall Windows Installer, since I do not see it listed under my programs. I can install all non-microsoft programs, but my windows installer is totally messed up. I wish I knew if it was a registry problem, since I sometimes get see your administrator to see if windows installer is properly registered. However, since it is my computer and I am the administrator, I have no idea if it is right or not. I assume it is wrong, since it is giving me such problems. Again, any specific help would be helpful, since I do not understand technical writings that well.
