Picked it up this morning at Circuit City for $9.99 (no rebate, regular price $49.99). I don't want to bring up the Microsoft debate but the Norton on my main PC expires in 10 days and I was preparing to shift to AVG and had picked up ZA Pro for $15 buck earlier this week. Then I seen the Sunday Ad and thought "what the heck". Haven't installed it yet.

Its a 3 user version good for one year. Just thought I'd pass it on.

Wow thats a superb price Jerky :)

Did you ever run the public beta of OneCare or are you new to this app, just curious as to your impressions of it, I did run the beta for a short while and found it a fairly capable app in covering all bases, I do hope they adopt the OneCare firewall options in Vista as at present they are a PITB, but you'll have to give us some of your impressions of it once installed.

yes you could have gone completly free in all the components that One Care supplies, but $9.99 is not bad to cover 3 PCs for a year.

Best Buy price this weekend was $29 bucks. I read the earlier reviews from MG users of the Beta and from a few other sites. I'll play with it this week and let you know. Even if its halfway decent it will be a useful "all in one" tool for my computer illiterate family members and in-laws.

I know MajorGeeks doesn't recommend programs like Symantec and McAfee due to the fact that they slow down the system, and there are free equivalents available (avast antivirus, etc). Is that opinion going to change now that OneCare is available? From the early reviews it sounds like it doesn't slow down the system and works great (Major Attitude seemed to like the Beta back in December). Do Major Attitude and Chaslang think OneCare is worth the cash?

Unlikely, unless they give it away :) One reason we like Avast, AVG, is because they work onpar with the paid versions. OneCare, like Norton's and Mcafee, appeal to a large audience, those who want a one stop solution, so I have to respect that otherwise this website would'nt be around if everyone was an expert, right? :)
