Not sure if this is a hardware or software problem but I thought I would post it here and give it a go. Any way it is quite a large problem. I start up my just updated windows xp system and the only thing it does is go through the bio screen then tells me I need to choose how I want to start it, i.e., safe mode, normal mode..... Anyway I tried them all. After about 10 seconds of choosing your option it then would have the xp load up screen and within 2 seconds of seeing that screen it restarts, and I repeated this situation a number of times results all the same. Not sure if anyone has seen or knows of this problem. Let me know if you know what it is I don't have the foggiest idea.

Sounds like some Windows files might be missing. Can you boot up using an XP CD and run 'R' repair?
