Everyone, hello I am new here and so forgive any mistakes I might make to your normal way of doing things.
I am asking for help concerning a problem I have when I boot up windows. Windows boots up all the way to my login. When I login my password is accepted and for a split moment I am on my desktop and can see my background. Then within a second or two windows automatically begins to log me off and saves my settings just as if I had asked it to do this. The problem is, is that I did not ask to log off. I can not even boot to any of the safe mode options. It does the same thing.
Has anyone seen this and knows what it is? Any help would be greatful. This is my work laptop and I am afraid I will loose data.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

This is more of an issue for the Software Forum since you cannot even boot in normal or safe mode. This is normally due to registry corruption. Your best bet may be the below procedure from Microsoft. You will need your bootable Windows CD so that you can boot to the recovery console.
