I have come onto the site many times for help for malware and spyware problems on my laptop which runs Windows XP. I have been trying to absolve some issues with my parents computer but they run Windows ME and so I was wondering if I should run all the steps in the read me first before asking for help just as I did on my laptop for Windows XP. The reason being is the only difference I spotted in the thread was that if you have ME you should us Counterspy instead of the other two. Thanks again.

Yes, with WinME you have to use something other than Ewido or Microsoft Defender because they are for NT based OS's such as Win2k and WinXP. CountySpy however will run on 98/ME and will remove many infections as those other two will.
