Windows Media Player 11

I am have problems with windows media player 11. i recently bought a computer at ibuypower.com with a asus motherboard, creative audigy sound card, and 8800 gt 512mb graphics card.

after installing wmp 11 i played a brand new dvd of harold and kumar on my computer. after about 10 minutes the whole movie becomes vertical rectangles and my cursor also becomes a static like blur. just like small bits of pieces. then computer freezes and restarts. does anyone know what is happening here?

 

I think perhaps you should reinstall Windows Media Player 11. What OS have you? We need to know that before recommending more actions...
