windows media player 9...

Okay, I bought a few cds and now I wanna put them on my comp, so I can listen to them whenever... How can I get wmp9 to transfer them to my comp in mp3 format? Or can you? So far it only does it in .wma format, do I need a codec or what? If wmp9 doesn't work for that kind of stuff, what kind of program (freeware) do you recommend I use for such a thing? Thanks.

 

I havent looked for a freeware program that would let you rip mp3's, But do you have any kind of cd-burning software?

Both Nero Burning Rom and Roxio Easy CD Creator (and many others I am sure) have mp3 ripping capabilities... I personally use Nero to rip my cd's and I have no trouble.

 

CDex is a good one, so is Audiograbber, both free.

 

audiograbber is exactly what I needed, thanks man, only problem is that it rips the songs to a 1441 kbs .mp3 file, so a 4 minute song is like 40 mb...know how to change that setting to either 160 or 192 kbs? I've looked around and can't find it...

 

Halo, I did see this earlier and I did what you said but when I go to the mode the highest there is is 56 kBit/s, 22,050 Hz Stereo and then the kBit/s decrease by 8 each time... Which one do I choose If I want a 160 and 192 kb song???
