Windows Media Player/Centre - Vista Home Premium

Hi, Anyone out there who can help me?

WMP and Centre have just stopped working. The only way you can get them to work is to run as administrator, which is somewhat annoying. And then getting a video file of music file to work is just a joke!

I have installed all the updates and codecs, but it still refuses to work.

All you get when you try to open a media file is, the infamous blue circle and then nothing!

I have tried a system restore - nothing.

Any other options?

Well, thanks to my son, based in USA has come up with a solution that worked. I went to User Account and disabled my account, so anyone can use my laptop and voila! It works.

As he is a Geek, I have promoted him to Lt. Col. Sorry guys!
