   I can't play alot of linked movies in my media player. Has this happened to any of you? How do I fix this?

   I would imagine you are missing some Codecs to allow you to play those movies.
   
   there are some codecs available from MS on the WMP page or do a search on google for Codec Packs and see what you come up with... I must stress that some codec packs that are out their can mess up your system so care and a SR point or backup is advisable.
