Windows Media Player v11: how to disable download media information

I'm using Windows Media Player (WMP) version 11, or 11.0.5721.5268, to be exact.

I want to *prevent* WMP from trying to download information for CDs I rip.

For example, when WMP is done ripping a CD (MP3 format is what I use) I get this message:

"Windows Media Player cannot download media information for this CD. The tracks, artist and album will be identified as "Unknown" in your library. For best results, connect to the Internet or manually add media information for the CD."

Is there any way to set up WMP so it does NOT do this step? I don't want it to search for any data of any kind - I just want it to rip the CD to MP3 and be done with it.

I have made sure the "Retrieve additional information from the Internet" box is unchecked (not checked) in the "Library" tab.

Any ideas how I can turn this off? I'd really like to be able to have WMP bypass this step completely.

    Thank you very much!

    I found this link:

They haven't had much luck either, it seems.

So, it looks like I'll need yet another piece of software to avoid this problem.
