Windows Media Player wont burn cd's

Hey everyone I have had this problem for a while didnt worry about it until now becasue I need the feature.
I have xp sp3
approved burners (2)
lite on dvd cd etc burner
also an hp dvd cd etc. burner and windows media player 11
in the burn tab I keep getting the message connect a burner and restart wmp 11 where to start to fix this so I can burn cd's? thanks for any help.

 

Open 'My Computer'; right click the drive in question and select 'Properties'; click the 'Recording' tab and make sure the box for 'enable recording on this drive' is checked. I have attached a screen shot below to clarify things.

Hey DLB thanks for the reply, that is the thing neither one of the drives have a recording tab in their properties boxes. I also made sure the IMAPI burning services are correct plus erased the filters incase of 3rd party causing this and still no luck. I do know for sure these are approved burning devices also. And have burned with them before. What else is there I have also uninstalled and reinstalled wmp 11 3 times. Not sure where to go from here. Thanks for any other help you may have.

 

I know it has been awhile and here is some new info to see if any answers happen I have found that my computer is starting up everything like a IDE Computer, The thing is that I have a Sata hd and an IDE dvd Burner so then when I try to tell it to do Raid/IDE in Bios I loose the burner until the setup drivers are installed same with the ACHI setting so how doI get past this point and see if this is the reason for all the problem?
