   I have a new Sony Vaio with windows vista.
   
   My media player all of sudden doesnt work. Was working fine...

   Hi
   
   I take it you are using Windows Media Player, if not then what one are you using?
   
   Do you get any errors on screen or in Control Panel > System and Maintenance and under Problem Reports and Solutions > View Problem History is anything listed for Windows Media Player if so what.
   
   Have you installed anything new before this happened, maybe some Audio Video Codecs?
