*sigh* I noticed when looking in CCleaner Restore Points, that since the beginning of this month, there are about every day entries shown as Windows Modules Installer and not showing as Restore Points. What the heck is going on? I'm not the only one that noticed this, look: https://www.tenforums.com/antivirus.../115488-defender-update-frequency-normal.html

Here's a pic to show what is going on. Is there anyone else who has the same thing and how to correct it, either by Microsoft or me.

"Windows Modules Installer is a service which gets all the updates to your system and installs automatically. This Modules Installer doesn’t allow the Microsoft to force the user to update or install new files every time."

You can still set restore points, yourself-
    From Microsoft--- https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/12415/windows-10-recovery-options
If you’re not seeing any restore points, it might be because system protection isn’t turned on. To check, go to the Control Panel, search for Recovery, and then select Recovery > Configure System Restore > Configure and make sure Turn on system protection is selected.

Turn on system protection is enabled. I'll have to check for a week or so if automatic restore points are being created since it did that prior to August 1 when all of a sudden I would get daily Windows Modules Installer instead of Restore Points. I called Microsoft a few days ago and the rep did something to my PC but don't know what he did exactly. Too bad and dumb of me because I didn't ask him what (exactly) he did. Yes, so far I have been able to create restore points manually.
