:cry Ok, here is the problem... I have been having issues with my computer for quite a while. I am not sure what is happening and can not afford to put it in the shop or buy a new one.

I have a website/store that i built myself. (www.lifesmysticaljounrey.com) now, a lot of the time I can not connect to it. The server says the problem is here and other computers in the house connect fine so I know it's my computer. Sometimes when I am online, I can not connect.. I get the you can not connect message with the diagnose problem button so I diagnosed. this is what I got from the diagnosis... Can someone help me?

Oh that is not all. Not only will internet explorer or firefox not connect, I have found that there have been many times recently that my frontpage will not connect when I am trying to upload changes... Again, the other computers in the house connect... just not this one.. and this one is mine and I desperately need it!!! lol...

    Thanks all for your help!!!

this is what the internet explorer page says when I do not connect

This is what the diagnosis said

Well, the diags didn't didn't seem to find any problems your end:
I usually only deal with this type of problem live though, which is pretty rare, maybe someone else will look in who has a better knowledge of it than I do and help you out.

Here is more info about the problem I am having. My server told to do this the next time it happened and they still say it's not their problem. This is what I sent them...

    their instructions:

I'm not sure exactly where the loss occurs in terms of who the server belongs to.

Why don't you test OpenDNS server routes, you can change your computer settings via this page - don't forget to make notes on your current settings before you modify them so they can be reset if necessary.

I followed the directions on the page you sent but do not know what to type where it says:
I can not type OpenDNS in the spaces because it will not allow it. Tye typing space is for number and looks like 111.111.111.111 except there are no numbers there.. it is just empty. are there specific numbers I am suppose to type there?

Can you attach a printscreen jpeg of the window on your PC where you're having the problem, please?

Here is the print screen of what I get when the page will not load. all other pages have loaded...

I also got another reply form my server... I understand that they program I used is outdated but it was a lot of work. is there a program like the one they recommend that will not require me to complete rebuild the entire site? they have a web builder onsite but, excuse me, it sucks.... and I get a lot of compliments on my site. I really do not want to change it to much.. it's easy to use...

    Dear <snip>,

There's no issues on our side on the server level, but I did see that your site could use a little optimization to avoid potential problems.

First of all, when loading your main site, it also loads around 75 or so images for the buttons on the side. If there's any delay in delivering the content to the client - say, for example, that an earlier request is taking more than a few milliseconds to finish - it will fill up your account's queue and cause any further requests to return an error. This will usually be a 502 - gateway error message, but could be exposed differently depending on the web browser.

Secondly, I noticed that you're using Frontpage. I'd highly recommend switching to a regular FTP-based site instead of Frontpage, as the Frontpage server extensions for Unix hosts were discontinued about 8 years ago.

And lastly, I'd recommend organizing your content into subdirectories a bit more. Right now, you have about 2900 items in your main directory, which can cause significant slowdown to your site in certain cases.

LOL, I was expecting your screenshot was going to be about changing your DNS settings, put that on hold, it looks like you really need to action all of what's described in the email from your hosting service, as it makes good sense to a noob like me ;)

I'm really not the best person to advise you on rebuilding your site using modern software, if it was just a case of picking up on a few bugs to get it working, I could probably manage it.

Can someone help out here please?
