Hey guys maybe someone can help.

I had a couple of situations that arrived last night, one I have seen before (the no disk).

    1. I get a dialog box now at bootup before the login screen to windows and after the windows loading screen, as well as it seems before any program loads. This dialog box says "Windows - No Disk" - "Please load disk in drive..." and has "Cancel" "Try Again" and "Continue" buttons. I have to click cancel like ~5-10 times to get rid of it for windows or a program to load. Might not be on every program but seems like it.

    2. I think I got rid of this but it seemed at some point last night any time I searched google in Firefox, I got re-directed to an ad page or some page that was definitely not what the link in google was. But I haven't noticed this after I ran AdAware.

    3. The internet seems to be running slow as well as I cannot connect to update AVG Free or AdAware even though I definitely have a connection.

Any ideas would be awesome!! Thanks so much.

Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
    Notes:
    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can run steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
