Windows not remembering passwords

Hi guys,

I have an odd problem where windows does not remember my usernames and passwords. Things like my hotmail, facebook, ebay, various forums etc. used to have me instantly log in when I visited them. Now I have to enter my password and username for all of them everytime.

I have tried,

Removing McAfee, Adaware, Spybot.

Restoring my PC to the earliest restore point,

Changing internet settings,

Different browsers.

Literally if I say I'm checking my facebook then check my hotmail from that same session and go back to facebook it will ask me to log in again.

Any Ideas?

It's Vista Ultimate 64.

Cookies are set to be remembered and I haven't got anything like CCleaner. The only things I have that I thought it could be are Adaware, Mc
Afee and Spybot.

This is the thing though, nothing is running. Literally if I leave a site then return to it within minutes on the same I.E./mozilla session I have to login again.

Open FF and click on Tools/Options.
Then click on the Privacy icon and see that these are checked:
Cookies, accept cookies from sites until they expire
Private Data: ask me before clearing private data - that way for the moment you can tell if FF is doing the cleaning.
Click on the Security icon and under Passwords be sure Remember passwords for sites is checked.
After you've done those settings, close FF and reopen it and start browsing. Report back if it helped or didn't. We might need to dig deeper.
