Windows Police Pro

Somehow have Windows Police Pro malware on my other PC. Have read the "read mes" and stickys and can't seem to get anything started even. I've tried downloading MGtools and I can download it to the root folder, but the malware prevents it from running. I run it and the malware pops up a message saying "running of c:mgtools.exe is impossible". I can't even get to any antivirus apps on the internet.

Anything that I can do to get started?

Welcome to Major Geeks!

Try to things in the below order

Right click on MGtools.exe and select rename. Rename it to MGtools.com then right click on it and select Open. If that runs, attach the log. If it does not run, try step 2.

Click on the download link for MGtools here: MGtools when the next window comes up, instead of select Save or Download, see if you can select Run or Open and see if it runs.

No matter what happes above, do the below.

Download this Win32kDiag and save to C:\Win32kDiag.exe. You must save it here!!!!

Click on Start->Run, and copy-paste the following command (the bolded text) into the "Open" box, and click OK. When it's finished, there will be a log called Win32kDiag.txt on your desktop. Please attach this log

C:\win32kdiag.exe -f -r

Thanks for the reply. I ended up just reimaging the PC. That seemed to get rid of the issue.
